King Cobra revolver had been in production since 1986 and discontinued in late 1990s. It was technically similar to other mk.V revolvers, and can be described as direct sucessor to the Trooper Mk.V. King Cobra featured more modern design with full lenght underbarrel lug and solid top barrel rib. Sights were fully ajustable. All King Cobra revolvers were made from stainless steel. Like the earlier Trooper revolvers, the King Cobra is an all-around, versatile gun, suitable for sport, duty, self defence and even hunting.
Markings: KING COBRA and Cobra head motif on left of barrel, rampant Colt motif on left of frame, - 357 MAGNUM CARTRIDGE - & COLT`S PT. F. A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN, USA on right of barrel, serial number on frame under cylinder crane.
Safety: Trigger retracted hammer block
Unloading: The cylinder latch is on the left of the frame behind the cylinder. Pull cylinder latch to the rear, swing out the cylinder to the left , eject any live or spent cartridges by pushing the cylinder ejector rod to the rear.
